1. | How much is a skip? | A | This will depend on the size and where the skip is going i.e. private property or public highway. Please call us for assistance. |
2. | Can I have a skip on the road? | A | Yes. We will need to get a permit from your council. The price varies from council to council however they all require a 4 day notice period for administration so try to order in advance. |
3. | When can you deliver/collect the skip? | A | Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm Saturday from 7am to 3pm Other times by arrangement only. |
4. | How can I pay? | A | You can pay with a credit/debit cards over the phone or cash/cheque on delivery. |
5. | Do I have to be in when the skip is delivered? | A | If you have already paid – no. Please leave instruction for where you want the skip to be placed and we’ll do the rest. Just make sure we can get in. |
6. | How long can I keep it? | A | Generally about 7-14 days, if you require a skip longer please advise when booking. |
7. | How soon will I get a skip? | A | We will always do our best to deliver your skip the same day or the day requested. |
8. | What do I do when I’ve finished? | A | Just give us a call and we shall arrange collection. You can call out of hours, just leave a message by following the instructions. |
9. | Can I mix the waste i.e. garden waste and household? | A | Yes. Everything comes back to our recycling centre for sorting. That’s our job! |
10. | Where can you put skips? Will they go over walls or fences? | A | They will go over small walls or fences or fences with a maximum height of 3 feet. Please state this at the time of ordering, so that we can deliver your skip using our extra reach skip loading vehicles.. |
11. | What can’t I put in the skip? | A | Asbestos, fridges, freezers, tv’s, car tyres, toxic liquids (paints and oils). |
12. | If I can’t put my TV, fridge, or freezer in the skip would you collect them? | A | Yes just telephone for assistance. We will be happy to collect these items from you. |
13. | Will the skip damage my driveway? | A | No it shouldn’t our drivers take every care not to damage driveways but you can put something underneath such as wood or old carpet. When we collect the skip we can take this with us too. |
14. | How much of my waste is recycled? | A | We recycle metal, wood, green waste, hardcore. Very little goes to landfill. We aim to try and recycle 90% of all waste. |
